Who is Sterling Data?
Sterling Data is a UK data broker, operated by Hetherington Projects and based at 45 Albemarle Street, Mayfair, London. We help UK companies and insolvency practitioners license operational data to vetted AI labs, and we handle the valuation, rights clearance, de-identification, UK GDPR paperwork, negotiation and delivery in between.
What does Sterling Data do?
We turn a company’s everyday records into a licensed, documented dataset that an AI lab can rely on, without the company losing ownership or control. We work with three groups: UK companies with records to license, insolvency practitioners realising data for creditors, and AI labs that need rights-cleared UK data.
- UK companies: how licensing your company data works.
- Insolvency practitioners: realising company data in insolvency.
- AI labs: rights-cleared UK training data.
- Advisers: refer a business and earn up to £50,000.
How do we work?
Compliance comes first, and the seller stays in control. Every licence is rights-cleared, de-identified and documented under UK GDPR before any data leaves the company’s systems. We run the whole process with one named contact, licences are non-exclusive by default, and nothing is licensed without the company’s approval.
